I cannot access e-Advantage. Why?
- Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. AOL, Netscape, MSN, are not recommended as some screens will not fully load or may not allow you to access the site at all. If you have received a user name and password through www.dnvcert.com for the "demo", it is different from the one to access the actual site
- If you have saved the URL as a bookmark/favorite or desktop shortcut:
Internet Service Providers (ISP) and Company Internet Settings can vary. It is important when saving the website as a favorite”or “shortcut” that you verify the URL is correct. This can be done by right clicking the “favorite” or “shortcut” and viewing the properties to make sure the URL is correct, http://e-Advantage.dnv.com/MyDNV. Remove any extra characters, click on Apply then retry your "Shortcut"
or "Favorite."

While in Internet Explorer...
1) Click on the Tools menu
2) Click on Internet Options...
3) Click on Privacy Tab
4) Set Privacy Settings to Medium
5) Click on Apply. Retry site access.
Always check with your IT department or other relevant personnel before changing any settings of this type
I forgot my user name and password. How can I report this to have it resent to me?
I get a repeat window to re-enter my user name and password when I try to open an audit document. I re-enter my information and still cannot access the documents. Why?
- Email houportal.feedback@dnv.com if you get the repeat window when trying to open any of the audit documents. This is a security setting issue and must be resolved on our end.
The window to enter my user name and password asks for a domain name. What do I enter here?
- Nothing. One of 2 things has occurred. Either the web address has been incorrectly entered (Correct address is www.e-Advantage.dnv.com/MyDNV) or, your company may have internet access securities which require this information. Please contact your IT department if this is the case.

How long is my user name and password valid?
- User names and passwords do not expire. The are deactivated when:
1) The contract with DNV is discontinued, or
2) DNV is notified that the user is no longer in need of a user name and password
(e.g., transfers to another area within the company or is no longer employed
with your company)
My user name and password do not work. Why?
- Sometimes the blank space following the user name is picked up if you have copied/pasted them into your browser's search field. A space is considered a character. The password is case sensitive so be sure you are entering it in correctly. Make sure you are typing in an underscore "_" in the user name and not a dash "-" or space. If you are still unable to access, please email houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com for assistance.
Do I use the "upload" feature to respond to Nonconformities?
- No. Please continue to email your nonconformity responses to your lead auditor.
I cannot open the PDF files listed on the portal. How can I resolve this?
- Be sure you are using the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The computer you are using to access may have a lesser version than what the document was originally created in. The current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded free at www.Adobe.com
I get a "Your session has expired. New login required!" window upon logging in. Does this mean my password has expired?
- No. Your password does not expire. Click on "OK" to access your account.
My phone number and email address have changed or they are incorrect on the portal. How do I report this to have it changed?
There is a company contact showing up on the portal who is no longer with the company. How do I report this to have it updated?
- It is very important that company contact information be kept current. Please submit any updates of any kind to houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com.
When will my most recent certificate be published to the portal?
- Depending upon the standard that your company was audited to, some nonconformities may be required to be "closed" prior to certificate issuance. If you have questions on certificate availability, please email our Certificate Issuance department at HOUCCI@dnv.com. Please reference your company name and DNV Order/Project number in the subject line.
Am I able to change my user name and password?

How long are audit documents kept on the portal?
- Once a company reaches its recertification, all documents "prior" to the recertification (with the exception of the current certificate, current Periodic Audit Plan, and any agreements are purged from the portal. If you need a copy of a previous report, NCN, etc., email houPortal.Feedback@dnv.com.
